Teacher

Background: I grew up and lived in Morris, Illinois before moving to LaGrange, Georgia in August 2016. I attended Concordia University Chicago for my undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education. While at CUC, I participated in the university’s cheer and dance team. I recently got married to my husband Chris in June and moved to Lombard to support his graduate studies at National University of Health Sciences. Outside of school, I enjoy reading, spending time with family and friends, and traveling as much as possible.

This is my 3rd year at ZCLS. I teach first and second grade and absolutely love it! I look forward to spending my second year of teaching here. I run the science club as well.

Teaching Philosophy: In my classroom, students learn in lots of different ways. I love hands-on activities for students to dive into their education. We use songs to help us remember everything from memory verses to plant parts. I love watching my children grow in their faith and love for Jesus in my classroom!
