Extended Care Program
Our school day begins at 8:30 am and ends at 3:00 pm. In a perfect world, parents' work schedules would match. We know that in an era where both parents work, families need more options. Our school offers very affordably Before and After School Care (Extended Care) that is supervised by both teachers and/or staff. With both hourly rates and flat monthly rates available, you can comfortably drop off and pick up your child around your schedule.
Hours
Morning Care:
7:00 am to 8:15 am
Any student dropped off after 8:15 am may go to the classroom and won't be charged any additional costs.

After Care:
3:00 pm to 5:30 pm
Rates
Extended Care is charged at an hourly rate, to the nearest 15 minutes.

For 1 Child, the rate is $6.00 per hour
For 2 or more children, the rate is $8.00 per hour

Flat monthly rates are available for families that have very regular pick-up and drop-off times. You may discuss these with our Principal.
Age Appropriate Rooms
Morning Care
Our morning care is typically conducted as one large group, with children supervised in our gymnasium. In the COVID-19 era, we have separated students into smaller groups according to grade level. All 1st graders and below, spend their morning care in the gym. The 2nd through 8th graders spend their morning time in a classroom. This ensures that different age groups of students are mixed as little as possible.

After Care
Our after-care is always split according to grade levels. For this year, the cut-off is 1st grade. Students in 2nd grade and above, spend time in a classroom, supervised by one of our aides, while homework is completed.

Our younger students (1st grade and lower) spend time upstairs in our designated Extended Care room. The number of supervisors present is dictated by the number of students so that ratios may be maintained. These students also have access to our playground, gymnasium, a large tv screen, lots of toys, and other materials to make their time meaningful. Most days, the joy of spending some downtime with friends is all the student's desire. Each student that stays in Extended Care past 3:30 pm should pack an extra snack to tide them over until dinner.
